2nd Birthday

The twins had their 2nd birthday!  I almost doesn't seem like it has been that long, but then it also feels like they have always blessed my life.  There actual birthday was not very birthday oriented.  I did get their "2" shirts finished in time, but that was about it.  D was sick and had to go to the doctor.  Not fun.  M went to VBS at our church.  She had fun.  After naptime, we played inside.  We didn't even do anything special for supper, except to have Krispy Kreme doughnuts for dessert!  And... their birthday in pictures....

Yikes!  They are 2!!!!

Silly of Me

It may be extremely silly of me, but I am super excited.  This little blog has past 1,000 page views!!!!  Silly, but very fun.

And, I promise to do better posting!  I have some fun stuff to show you soon.

Beach Retreat 2012

Warning!!! This is not a crafty post.  I guess that could be a good or bad thing depending on the readers' perspective.
This past weekend, our church went on the annual beach retreat.  It was a blast!  The kids all had a great time and the adults did too!  So now, I present a ton of pictures.....

Not Forgotten

I know, it has been slightly shorter than forever since I last posted.  Well.....  it has been crazy.  I have been squeezing in some pretty easy projects and working more hours.  That has given me less time to post between laundry, dishes, bath time for the little ones, and bedtime stories.  Now, I am not much of a post after bedtime kind of girl.  The problem with me is that my bedtime seems to follow that of the kids pretty quickly.  By the time that my kids are asleep, I try to do some little project (fold laundry, load the dishwasher, remind W that dirty clothes really do go in the hamper) and then, it happens.....  I fall asleep.  Then the cycle just starts over.
So, I will try to do better.  I might have to get my weekends in better shape so that I really can get some projects posted during naptime.  Somehow, I will get it figured out.  Until then, thanks for hanging in there with me!

A Graduate

Wow!  The school year is over, and W graduated from the 5th grade!!!  He will start middle school in the fall.  It is so weird that he is done with elementary school.  I swear he just started kindergarten a few weeks ago.

He led the pledge...

Getting his certificate....

The last elementary picture of my oldest...

It is really hard to believe.

Done with the Crud

I would like to take this opportunity to officially say that my household is done being sick.  I realize that this might not last longer than a week, but at this point, all of the little ones are well, and I on quickly getting there myself.  So, yes, I was the last one sick.  I apologize to my 2 followers for not posting this past week.  I have managed to post through most of the kids' illnesses, but mine took my out of blogging.  I finished some projects while coming down with the crud, but completely forgot about nice little things like pictures.  I have some things to get caught up on at the house (Hello, laundry!) and then I will try to get something posted!
On a much happier note, I got to be at a beautiful baptism today.  The sweet baby wore the dress that her mom and grandmother were baptized in.  She looked around the church and was quite happy.  Baptisms are so happy and full of promise.  I love being invited to attend!
And, the twins lasted almost all of the service in the nursery at a church that they had never been to before!  We made it to the car before the screaming started.  Apparently, they only then realized that it was past their lunchtime and working into naptime.  :-)

Birthday Cake

I always make my kids' birthday cakes.  It is something that I really enjoy doing.  This year, W is on a Mario kick.  I used the same tutorial for his cake that I used for his pillow.  Except, instead of fabric squares, I used M & M candies. It turned out awesome!!!
(Yes, I know it is on a Christmas tray.  It has been a crazy week.)
